A new film from filmmaking brothers Joel and Ethan Coen is always highly-anticipated, but it turns out we're just going to have to wait a little longer for their latest effort. The star-studded 'Hail, Caesar!' which reunites the directors with George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, has been officially given a 2016 release date, and we have a feeling this one will be well-worth the wait.

Variety reports that Universal has set a February 5, 2016 release date for 'Hail, Caesar!', the latest film from Joel and Ethan Coen, which features quite the ensemble cast: George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johansson, Jonah Hill, Josh Brolin, and Ralph Fiennes. Clooney previously worked with the directors on 'O Brother, Where Art Thou' and 'Intolerable Cruelty,' and Clooney and Swinton both starred in 'Burn After Reading.' It'll also be great to see all the Coen first-timers in the mix, including 'Jump Street' buddies Tatum and Hill.

The film is set in '50s Hollywood and follows a showbiz fixer Eddie Mannix (Clooney), who makes a career out of keeping the private lives of his clients from becoming tabloid fodder. Swinton plays a gossip columnist, while Johansson plays an actress who becomes pregnant just as her film is set to begin production. Tatum is said to play a Gene Kelly-esque role, while Brolin will play a fictitious studio head.

While we previously assumed that the film would be released as early as 2015, we're a little bummed to have to hold out until 2016 for this one -- but hey, we'll wait as long as we need to for a new Coen Brothers film, especially one that packs a cast like this.
