Anyone visiting CollegeHumor within the past few years would no doubt find themselves aware of the long-running 'Jake & Amir, making it all the more puzzling this took so long. Comic duo Jake Hurwitz and Amir Blumenfeld will take their oddball comedy to TBS with their own series based on the sketch, to be executive produced by 'Hangover' vet and future 'Naked Gun' star Ed Helms.

By far CollegeHumor's longest running and most viewed duo, Amir Blumenfeld and Jake Hurwitz will of course star in the new series, co-writing with Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger, with Helms in an executive producing capacity. As noted by Deadline, Blumenfeld and Hurwitz have written and starred in over 600 'Jake & Amir' videos over the last five years, which have earned more than half a billion views collectively.

CollegeHumor will also executive produce the series, though likely shift to the background as the 'Jake & Amir' premise emerges amid a more general setting. According to the announcement, the series will follow best friends and co-workers Jake and oddball Amir, as they "navigate the cubicles of their workplace, stand up to the corporate man and try to function with their dysfunctional co-workers, all while maintaining their shenanigans."

Even as the duo originally pitched 'Jake & Amir' to TV networks, we'd be interested to see how well their brand of humor holds up in a TV format, but what say you? Would you want to see 'Jake & Amir' on TBS? Watch the latest below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
