Almost a full decade after Joss Whedon's cult hit 'Firefly' took off (and shortly thereafter crashed in the ratings) the Serenity will fly once again.  Comic-Con 2012 will play host to a huge panel for the cancelled fan-favorite, reuniting its cast and creator!  So where and when can all the shiny 'Firefly' fans catch the panel at Comic-Con 2012?

In what will undoubtedly be remembered as a glorious day for Browncoats and the 'verse at large, it's been announced that 'Firefly' will host its own panel at Comic-Con 2012, near of a decade after the show's initial debut, and cancellation on the FOX network.  The panel, which will be held in Ballroom 20 on Friday, July 13 at 12:30 p.m., will feature creator Joss Whedon, writer Tim Minear and stars Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, Michael Fairman long with others.

What more, you ask?  Well, how about that The Science Channel-hosted event will also include never-before-seen footage and  ”numerous buzz-worthy surprises!"  We're there.  Especially if any of the surprises include appearances by some of the sci-fi series' lovely ladies, Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite, Summer Glau, or Gina Torres.

What say you?  Will you be on hand at Comic-Con 2012 to re-light the 'Firefly?'  We will, so tell us what you most want to see from the panel in the comments below!
