If you're looking forward to the long-in-the-works adaptation of 'Ender's Game,' today must certainly be a very exciting day for you. First, we got that cool promotional video that featured the one and only Harrison Ford requesting your help in taking down alien invaders. Then, we had our comprehensive report from the film's Comic-Con 2013 panel. Now, a new clip from the upcoming sci-fi movie had made its way online, giving us our best look yet at the film.

The clip takes place years before the events of the film, focusing on an alien invasion of Earth that almost cripples the human race. With Ford's Colonel Graff narrating the action, we watch the "Buggers" decimate a fleet of fighter jets ... until a pilot named Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley) saves the day and, in the process, saves the world.

We don't know who Ford is talking to in the clip (possibly Asa Butterfield's Ender Wiggin?) and we're not sure if this is an actual scene or something that's been cobbled together for promotional purposes, but it's pretty cool. The world featured in 'Ender's Game' is a fascinating one with a lot of history, so introducing the backstory that leads to the main events of the film is a smart move. We're not sure if this clip will play to the uninitiated, but it's a nice start.

'Ender's Game' is directed by Gavin Hood and opens on November 1.
