On the heels of today's 'Mad Max: Fury Road' panel at Comic-Con 2014, we now have more official looks at the main characters via some official character posters featuring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, and original 'Mad Max' film star Hugh Keays-Byrne. And these guys look serious revved up and ready to go bonkers.

Slashfilm debuted the four new character posters which are a bit different from the initial teaser poster that went online this week. While that first poster was a bit more somber and dusty, these give us super intense and gnarly looks at our main quartet: Tom Hardy's Mad Max, Charlize Theron's Furiosa, Nicholas Hoult's Nux, and Hugh Keays-Byrne as Immortan Joe. As writer/director George Miller informed us today during the panel, Keays-Byrne appeared in the original 'Mad Max' film as Toecutter.

These posters definitely go along with the footage we saw today, which was so wildly violent and insane that we had a hard time describing it: tornadoes, blood, sand, car chases and crashes. It's pure chaos.

'Mad Max: Fury Road' takes place in a stark desert wasteland where people are driven to senseless fighting just to get what they need to stay alive. Hardy's Mad Max is a man on a mission to find peace after the loss of his wife and daughter, while Theron's Furiosa is a rebellious woman who believes she will only be able to survive if she can make it across the waste and back to her childhood home.

The film hits theaters on May 15, 2015. Check out the new posters below:
