'Iron Man 3' is currently filming and won't hit theaters until next year, but that didn't stop Marvel from bringing the man of metal to Comic Con this week to give us a peek at Tony Stark's new armor for the film.

Thanks to the folks at CinemaBlend (click on over for larger images), we've got our first look at Iron Man's new suit, and it's pretty dapper. It's definitely got a lot more gold than red, and some fancy business going on with the ab area, but it's also more sleek and in keeping with the concept that Stark can now call upon his armor to assemble itself onto his body. You can check out the new suit below, which may seem a bit jarring in contrast to the suit designs we've become accustomed to.

Also on hand were all the previous Iron Man suits for comparison, showing the evolution of Stark's designs throughout the series.

'Iron Man 3' is written and directed by Shane Black ('') and is currently filming in North Carolina for a May 3, 2013 release. We haven't learned much about the plot for the latest film, but many have speculated the villain Mandarin will be involved. Robert Downey Jr. is reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man alongside co-stars Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
