We've barely had time to mourn Dan Harmon's absence, but, oh... Wait a minute... What's this? 'Community' is paying tribute (get it?) to 'The Hunger Games' in the season four premiere! It may be too soon to say this, but we still have hope that the show will be awesome even without Harmon around.

EW got an exclusive look behind the season four premiere of Community, which will air October 19. In it, Jim Rash's Dean Pelton will stage a 'Hunger Games'-style competition for the students, where they will fight to determine who gets to enroll in a class called The History of Ice Cream.

Joel McHale comments on this weird college course selection:

Ice cream is something that people eat every day and they probably don’t know its origin story. F— you and your elitist I-don’t-need-to-know-about-my-frozen-treats-and-where-they-came-from attitude.

Speaking of the many dresses Dean Pelton gets to wear in the episode and the bizarre concept, McHale adds:

He will repulse and arouse you all at once. Mostly repulse....It is an homage to something that kids in the late ’80s and early ’90s watched on Saturday mornings.”

For now, enjoy the delightful pictures from the set, which include dudes dressed as sexy unicorns:
