Even though NBC had its turn at the ongoing Television Critics Association press tour, 'Community' largely ignored save for acknowledgement of a potential fifth season, the Greendale gang's February 7 return remains one of our most anticipated 2013 premieres yet! The 'Community' return episode "History 101" will see the gang entering what could be their last year, starting off with a 'Hunger Games'-style challenge to win access to a hotly-desired class! Check out the latest 'Community' return preview clip inside!
While once we waited for October 19, the show now resumes on February 7 and the premiere of 'Community' season 4 can't come fast enough. NBC had previously been kind enough to gift us with a holiday-themed 'Community' clip from an upcoming episode while today the network has issued yet another sneak peek from the premiere episode "History 101."
From NBC's official press release:
THE GREENDALE STUDY GROUP RETURNS FROM SUMMER BREAK FOR THEIR FOURTH YEAR
The Study Group returns from summer break ready to tackle their fourth year of Community College. Jeff (Joel McHale) is particularly focused on graduating and is just a few credits away. When there is a mix-up with a history class registration, Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) institutes an elaborate physical competition for class space. Meanwhile, Britta (Gillian Jacobs) helps Abed (Danny Pudi) deal with the anxiety he is experiencing over the thought of the study group graduating and breaking up.
Elsewhere, we know that ‘Community’s fourth season will see the final appearances of Chevy Chase’s Pierce Hawthorne, ‘Seinfeld’ star Jason Alexander in a mysterious role, guest turns from Brie Larson, ‘Battlestar Galactica’ vet Tricia Helfer, ‘Bridesmaids’ star Matt Lucas, UK thespian Malcolm McDowell as the gang’s new history professor, and Hollywood icon James Brolin as Jeff (Joel McHale)’s father.
