Conan O'Brien is growing weary of his talk-show hosting gig. The man wants to be an A-list movie star with a glitzy role in a juicy blockbuster, along with the respect of his peers and maybe even some awards acknowledgement. This, of course, is why O'Brien is starring in Syfy's 'Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda.'

The film tells the touching story of a shark-octopus and a pterodactyl-barracuda who meet, fall in love, and -- wait, that's not true. It's about two monsters battling each other, with O'Brien in the middle. The 'Conan' host really wants you to check out this production, which is why he ordered his own billboard touting the role. It's a good plan. Too bad it didn't really work out. (Watch the video to find out why.)

The "film" will "premiere" on the Syfy channel on Saturday, August 2 at 9 p.m. Mark your calendars. Need more 'Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda'? Take a look at the film's latest poster below.
