Cosplay of the Day: This ‘Star Wars’ Bounty Hunter Is Pretty Slick
We love when cosplayers go for something a little obscure for their costumes, like this 'Star Wars' Mandalorian bounty hunter -- move over, Boba Fett.
Today's cosplay is a reader submission from Timberly Eyssen, whose name is cool enough to sound like a real 'Star Wars' character. Timberly submitted photos of herself dressed as Kyor Gra'tua, a Mandalorian bounty hunter from the 'Star Wars' expanded universe -- the expanded universe includes all the non-film stuff like character histories in spinoff stories, including TV shows, books, comics and video games.
Timberly says that her costume is a little different -- as a lady, she purposely used male chest armor instead of the female-friendly version because she wanted to look more masculine. "I created the costume design as a Biohazard Merc and custom made it with Sintra, and utilized modified 'Star Wars' Clone Armor plates," she said. Timberly debuted her costume at the Phoenix Comic-Con in 2010, and immediately went viral when people mistook her costume for a female version of Boba Fett.
Check out some cool pics of Timberly and a few of her cosplayer friends below, including a couple pics of her armor before the costume was complete:
