It'll be quite some time before we actually get to see what James Spader's bad guy will look like in Joss Whedon's 'Avengers 2,' but we'll be perfectly honest: we hope he's half as cool and menacing as this cosplayer. Seriously, this is no cheap, quick costume; under the proper lighting, this thing could work for an actual superhero movie!

This hulking, imposing Ultron suit was built and worn by cosplayer Ryan Ricks, who debuted his stunning creation at this year's DragonCon in Atlanta, Georgia. While he may not be the most known Marvel comics villain around (at least not yet!), it's impossible to look at Ricks' work and not be impressed. He really has captured the essence of the Avengers' robotic nemesis.

As you can see in the photos, much of the costume was built and sculpted by Ricks from scratch, with him molding and painting each individual pice of the armor. Electronic controls are housed inside the bulky main body piece. The finished result is so polished and startling that it's actually pretty shocking to see each of the elements come together. What starts off as pile of junk soon becomes the supervillain costume of the year. Ricks chronicles a more in-depth look at the costume's creation, which took several months, over at his Facebook page.

In addition to creating Ultron costumes for his own enjoyment, Ricks builds and sells costume pieces for other cosplayers. His Facebook page features a lot of Chewbacca (it seems to be his specialty) and even some 'Venture Bros,' proving his good taste. However, he's also selling molds of his Ultron helmet, so if you feel like trying to compete with his work, you know what you have to do!
