Michelle Yeoh is back and wielding swords.

Netflix decided to make a sorta sequel to Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (why, I'm still unsure) and now we have our first look. In the first trailer for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, Michelle Yeoh reprises her Yu Shu Lien alongside Donnie Yen as Silent Wolf. Thankfully this film stars the two of them and has some wuxia fight sequences to distract from the absolute mess it appears to be. The uneventful storyline -- a fight to keep a sword from an evil warlord -- and the trailer's awful choice of music -- a super auto-tuned cover of Creedence Clearwater's "Bad Moon Rising" -- make it look more like a straight-to-DVD martial arts flick than a Netflix production.

The film is directed by martial arts choreographer Yuen Woo-ping, best known for his work on The Matrix trilogy and Kill Bill 1 & 2. The sequel, originally subtitled The Green Destiny, will be based on Silver Vase, Iron Knight, the fifth book in Wang Du Lu's Crane-Iron series. Sword of Destiny is set to premiere on Netflix on February 26, 2016 along with a U.S. IMAX theatrical release.
