Get a Closer Look at Punisher and Elektra’s ‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Costumes
Late last night (and early this morning) saw Daredevil Season 2 sensing out a surprise look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Elodie Yung’s Elektra fully outfitted in their final getup, over a week before the premiere. Now, a new teaser offers and even closer look at all three gearing up to take on a mysterious “ancient evil.”
Netflix released a new Daredevil Season 2 teaser of the main comic three (Daredevil, Punisher and Elektra, that is, as opposed to Matt, Foggy and Karen), offering a much better look at Elektra’s final costume and weaponry. Closer inspection of the Punisher’s suit also confirms the skull atop some kind of armor, though it remains to be seen what this “Ancient Evil” confronting the trio will be.
So reads the official Daredevil Season 2 synopsis:
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
So far of Daredevil Season 2, we know for sure that Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn’s Stick. In addition to Elodie Yung’s Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Drew Goddard remains aboard as a consultant, though the series has changed showrunners from Steven DeKnight to Marco Rodriguez and Doug Petrie.
