The second half of Netflix’s Daredevil Season 2 trailer finally name-dropped the famous Hand of Marvel Comics, and it’s only a matter of time before Matt Murdock finds Hell’s Kitchen overrun. Elektra is nowhere in sight, but see for yourself as Daredevil Season 2 takes on The Hand in a gorgeous new poster!

Following the first five Daredevil Season 2 posters, ol’ Hornhead seems to have finally broken free of his chains with a shiny new mask, taking on the deadly mystical ninjas in a sharp new poster. The trailer alluded to their plan as something involing “The Rising,” but what might it mean for the second season arc, or its focus on The Punisher?

So reads the official Daredevil Season 2 synopsis:

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.

So far of Daredevil Season 2, we know for sure that Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to reprise her role as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn’s Stick. In addition to Elodie Yung’s Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Drew Goddard remains aboard as a consultant, though the series has changed showrunners from Steven DeKnight to Marco Rodriguez and Doug Petrie.
