New ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Viral Sees the Return of Harvey Dent

The Dark Knight Rises
Warner Bros.

The viral marketing for ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ is in full effect, and while not as crazy or clever as the viral marketing for ‘The Dark Knight,’ there’s still some really cool stuff to read and little bits of trivia that can be found in the following pages if one looks for them.

If you’ll recall at the end of ‘The Dark Knight’ Harvey Dent is dead and Batman is blamed as the murderer, even though he didn’t kill the guy. Such is the tragic life of a man who wears a bat suit in public. Now the Mayor of Gotham City has created The Dent Act and Harvey Dent Day where kids can go to the park and flip coins for six hours.

Here’s an excerpt from the viral pages found online today:

‘Harvey Dent was a hero in the true sense of the word,’ said the Mayor. ‘His courage in taking on the criminal empires that ruled our streets saved our city. It would be inappropriate for us not to honor his sacrifice.’

There’s also mention of a recent rash of burglaries, construction sites being ransacked, and a section with horoscopes. What I found interesting about the horoscope section was the reading for Pisces (Feb. 19 – Mar. 20):

Although things seem hard, it’s your job to rise up and face them.

Bruce Wayne’s birthday? February 19th. So a nice little nugget in there that you may find amusing. Check out all of the pages below, including info on a new viral site called Rykindata, a company that will erase your online history. Thanks to The Playlist for the images. The Dark Knight Rises into theaters and IMAX on July 20th.
