You'll be able to satiate your cravings for fighting game goodness this September, when Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate: Core Fighters comes out exclusively on the PlayStation Network. Don't feel like paying for another Dead or Alive game? Good, because this one's coming at you for free.

That's right, a free Dead or Alive game will be coming out very soon, giving us the chance to prove our mettle online. Being a free-to-play game, you'd expect to have a limited play experience, which is only partially-true in DOAU5:CF.

You'll only have access to Kasumi, Ayane, Ryu Hayabusa, and Hayate right off the bat, but you can purchase additional characters at $3.99 a pop. But you'll have access to all of the game's stages at the outset, as well as most of the fight modes, online modes, training modes, and extras. The only thing missing is the Story Mode, which will be available for purchase for $14.99.

There's also a handy little chart on the official site that lets you know what game's players you'll be able to fight online, so you can coordinate with friends who might have different versions of Dead or Alive 5.

Let us know what you think of this free-to-play fighter and whether or not you'll jump at the chance to let fists fly for free.
