A Q&A for Destiny has answered many fan queries, but also hints at a new, unannounced gametype called Raids.

The PlayStation Blog features fan questions and answers from DeeJ, Bungie's Community Manager.

A lot of the questions asked had to do with what makes Destiny a unique game when compared to other next-gen shooters or multiplayer games out there, what can players do solo and how big the world will be.

DeeJ replied by saying Destiny is unique because it puts you on a journey in a living world filled with people, able to take on quests alone or together.

With regard to soloing content, DeeJ said, "Ah, the proverbial Lone Wolf. You can experience Destiny’s story as a party of one, assuming you’re that much of a badass. Destiny will never require you to team up with other people in campaign missions. You’ll see other players along the way, but you can choose to ignore them. That said, we think you’ll find that playing with other Guardians is quick, painless, and a ton of fun. It’s always your choice, though."

DeeJ also said that the world map is so big, that they "no longer have mission designers, but world designers, instead." It seems as if there will be much to explore with others, or alone, in Destiny.

But one of the most exciting details to come out of the Q&A was the mention of a competitive multiplayer mode called Raids, which will feature "well above three" players. Bungie isn't divulging any specifics about this gametype yet, but we'll let you know when they do.
