'Dexter's seventh season has officially begun production, picking up an indeterminate amount of time from the shocking events that closed out sixth season finale "This is the Way the World Ends," but very little is known about what direction the season, and by extension the rest of the series could take.  So what does our first look at the Miami set tell us?

Well, for one, Dexter's not homeless!  Straight from the Twitter account of series star (and Michael C. Hall's former real-life wife) Jennifer Carpenter, we've snagged a look at the shooting set outside Dexter's famous apartment complex, where the star serial killer has alternating-ly taken residence the past few years.  At the very least, Carpenter does her best to tease us by adding "We're gonna get you guys this year!!!"

Of course, the biggest question remains what Debra (Carpenter) will do in the wake of learning her brother's dark secret, whether arrest him on the spot, find some way to rationalize her adopted sibling's hobby, or at the very least, deal with those icky feelings for him she'd developed over the course of season 6.

Either way, Deb won't have long to figure it out once Dexter gets involved with the Eastern European mobster characters we've learned about, including the one played by "The Punisher" Ray Stevens, a “high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.”
