‘Dexter’ Season 7 Writhes Around Two Suggestive New Promos

Let’s just be up front about something.  Debra Morgan falling in love with her adopted brother in ‘Dexter‘ season 6 creeped us all out.  We were certainly hoping that the big reveal meant that Deb’s feelings would be quashed by the unveiling of Dexter’s dark passenger, but now the latest promos for ‘Dexter’ season 7 tease rather suggestively that the strange relationship between the two siblings might just head under the sheets…

The latest promos for ‘Dexter’ season 7 might just leave a little ick factor in your stomach, assuming the previous season of ‘Dexter’ left you one in tact.  Worrying about “My Dark Passenger Exposed” to the one person he hoped to keep secret from all his life, the latest teasers of ‘Dexter’ season 7 showcase figures writhing beneath the sheets, alternately switching from Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) to Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) when the figures are unsheathed.

Though similar, each promo ends differently, highlighting either Dexter or Debra as they fret what the other might do with the big reveal of season 6, wherein Deb sought her adopted brother out to confess her romantic feelings and instead found him plunging a knife into the Doomsday Killer.  So while the imagery could easily be evocative of nightmares the two would have, it certainly looks to us more like figures writhing in the throes of…well…let’s go the mature route and call it “total bone-age.”

Other promos and the broken-down teaser would suggest that Debra at least initially accepts her brother’s dark deeds, but might these latest promos be meant to imply that the two find themselves between the sheets after all?  Time will tell, as we learn how it all plays out on Sunday, September 30.  Perhaps we’ll get a tease at the ‘Dexter’ panel of Comic-Con 2012!
