The two minutes of 'Dexter' season 7 we saw at Comic-Con 2012 is never going to hold us over the way the serial killer series keeps adding guest stars into the mix.  We're already dying for a taste of former 'Chuck' star Yvonne Strahovski, or even The Punisher himself Ray Stevenson as this year's big bad, but what former 'Heroes' star is about to add fuel to the fire?  And will he be the one to expose Dexter's secret to the light?

Entertainment Weekly reports that former 'Heroes' star Santiago Cabrera has just landed himself a role in the upcoming seventh season of Showtime's serial killer drama 'Dexter,' set to debut on Sunday, September 30.  In the new episodes, Cabrera will portray Ethan Price, a "charming" investigative writer of true story books about famous murder cases.  Will he catch onto Dexter's trail, or perhaps a new series of murders to plague Miami?

Previously, Cabrera was best known for his portrayal of gifted prophetic painter Isaac Mendez of 'Heroes.' and Sir Lancelot of BBC’s 'Merlin.'

Apart from the news that ‘Dexter’s eighth season (2013) would be the last, there aren't many details available.   In addition to the major casting of ‘Chuck‘ star Yvonne Strahovski as “Hannah McKay,” a woman with a dangerous past who finds herself embroiled with Miami Metro, ‘Dexter’ season 7 boasts some impressive talent, including ‘Luck‘ star Jason Gedrick  as an owner of a gentleman’s club, one which frequently plays host to fellow-cast (and likely major villain) Ray Stevenson, a “high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates.”

What say you?  Is 'Dexter' season 7 becoming crowded, or will Santiago Cabrera play a key role in bringing down the Bay Harbor Butcher?  Give us your own thoughts in the comments below!
