'Django Unchained' stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx played enemies in Quentin Tarantino's western racial epic, but this time around the actors will play for the same side in a new film for Warner Bros., based on the upcoming Craig Zahler novel, 'Mean Business on North Ganson Street.'

Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has snatched up the rights for Zahler's forthcoming novel, which would position DiCaprio as a detective whose hooker wife disappears in the middle of the night, leaving him to believe that she ran off with the money she'd been making in her dubious line of work. And if that wasn't enough trouble, DiCaprio's character gets re-assigned to a crime-ridden city called Victory in Missouri, where he's partnered with a hot-headed detective, played by Jamie Foxx. Foxx's character has grief of his own to deal with, after being demoted for his brutal treatment of a suspect. Together, the pair must investigate a series of cop murders.

So that's a ton of information -- the project sounds packed with dark material, and seeing Django and Calvin Candie team up to solve some murders sounds pretty riveting. It's a good year for both actors: Foxx is currently in production on 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2,' and 'White House Down' hits theaters this weekend, while DiCaprio is following up 'The Great Gatsby' with Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street,' which hits theaters this fall.
