'Django Unchained' is a very good movie (read our full review here) and a Golden Globe nominee but one thing we never thought it was, is an inspiration for toys. Something about a super bloody slavery revenge thriller doesn't seem to lend itself to a toy line but apparently someone thought it did and a new set of action figures are on their way. Just in time for Christmas!

Have you ever wanted to re-enact the brutality of a slave-era Southern plantation at home? Well, you're in luck as NECA Toys has announced the release of their new 'Django Unchained' toy line.

From the highly anticipated new film from prolific director Quentin Tarantino comes this collection of poseable 8″ figures with tailored fabric clothing similar to the retro toy lines that helped define the licensed action figure market in the 1970s...Each figure stands approx 8″ tall, with tailored western clothing, and authentic weapons and accessories. Window Box Packaging.

The characters included in Volume One of the toy line (yes, there will apparently be multiple volumes) including Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson), Django (Jamie Foxx), Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), Butch (Walt Goggins) and Schultz (Christoph Waltz).

What you actually do with these action figures when you bring them home remains to be seen.
