If we were in the mood for list making, Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained' would probably top our list for the most anticipated film of 2012 (though that could change at a moment's notice). Footage from the film screened at Cannes, but when will we get a trailer? Well, it looks like it's coming sooner than you'd think.

Even though the film is still shooting (last we heard), We're being told that a teaser trailer is going out with Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'. That's what Variety's Stuart Oldham tweeted. See here:

This makes a whole lot of sense. 'Django' will surely be rated R (Tarantino has yet to make anything else), and in this summer season there are few event films that have an R rating other than 'Prometheus.' Often theaters are told not to put trailers for R-rated films on films that aren't rated as such (a rule not always followed), and besides the 'Prometheus' audience would be the target market for this film.

'Django Unchained,' which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, and Christoph Waltz, is scheduled to open on Christmas this year.
