Wow, this is cutting it close: Quentin Tarantino has finally wrapped principal photography on his highly anticipated 'Django Unchained,' with exactly five months left to put the movie through post-production. Can he make it in time for Christmas?

According to Thompson On Hollywood, 'Django' producer Stacey Sher announced on her Facebook page that filming wrapped at 1:23 a.m. this morning after either 126 or 130 days (Sher says it depends on who's counting) of "challenging, magical, incredible adventures from Simi Valley, to the Alabama Hills, to the frozen Grand Tetons, to the swamps and plantations of New Orleans and back to Simi Valley once again!"

Tarantino now turns to post-production, and with a December 25 release date looming there appears to be some question about whether he can finish the film in time. To add to the challenge, Tarantino is working without his longtime editor Sally Menke -- who edited all his previous movies -- for the first time. Menke passed away suddenly last year, so now the director has tapped Fred Raskin, who was an assistant editor on both chapters of 'Kill Bill' and also worked with Paul Thomas Anderson.

Footage from the movie, a period Western which stars Jamie Foxx as a freed slave who teams with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) in order to save his wife from the evil plantation owner Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), was received ecstatically at Comic-Con earlier this month, with Tarantino himself making a rare appearance at the con alongside his cast members. The question is, will he able to get the rest of the movie together in time to actually be shown in theatres?
