Like the most recent featurette before it, the latest sneak peek at Doctor Strange includes a little bit of new footage alongside interviews with the cast and Marvel’s Kevin Feige. This time around, the focus is squarely on the hero of the story, Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), and his journey from brilliant neurosurgeon to Sorcerer Supreme — with a little help from bald Tilda Swinton, of course.

There’s also (very, very) much ado about Strange’s hands, which were so skilled at helping him save lives until that pesky car accident completely destroyed them and left him feeling as though he’d lost his place in the world. That is, until he decides to treat himself to a trip to Nepal, where he meets The Ancient One (Swinton) and her faithful student Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor).

These featurettes might be a bit useful for Marvel fans who aren’t quite familiar with the character and his adventures. Doctor Strange is a tougher sell than, say, Captain America or Thor, but James Gunn worked some real magic with Guardians of the Galaxy, so maybe Scott Derrickson can do the same with the Sorcerer Supreme.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

Doctor Strange also stars Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, Michael Stuhlbarg and Benedict Wong, and hits theaters on November 4.
