Turnover is nothing new for Doctor Who, especially as Season 10 gears up to introduce its newest companion in Pearl Mackie’s “Bill,” but that never stops excitement from stirring around a possible return. To wit, Jenna Coleman’s Clara may already be returning for Season 10, as Peter Capaldi claims to have shot something new with the departed star.

Per the Radio Times, Capaldi hinted as much during the Awesome Con panel in Washington D.C. (along with Coleman), teasing that Clara might be seen again in at least some form:

I’m not sure how successfully Clara was able to wipe his mind [during her exit]. I just … I was about to tell you something I can’t tell you … I just shot something that Clara was still there in.

That said, Capaldi obviously declined to confirm if we’d be seeing the character in the flesh, or perhaps as a fragment of memory, though the report also notes that Season 10 has yet to begin formal shooting. It’s entirely possible that Capaldi and Coleman may have filmed something for Doctor Who spinoff Class, given the Coal Hill School’s tie to the departed companion.

We’ll likely find out more over the summer, but will Doctor Who get one more chance to say goodbye to Clara?
