A few months ago, we were ecstatic to hear that legendary 'Lord of the Rings' director Peter Jackson could potentially tackle an episode of 'Doctor Who,' despite his busy schedule working on 'The Hobbit.' Now, in advance of 'Doctor Who's' season 7B premiere, that dream has just gotten a bit closer to reality...for a price. Find out what would bring Peter Jackson to direct 'Doctor Who' inside!

'Doctor Who' has had some incredible talent over the years, with upcoming episodes written by Neil Gaiman and others, but is there any truth to the recent rumors that 'Lord of the Rings' magnate Peter Jackson might direct an episode in the future? It seems so, as Entertainment Weekly chatted with Jackson to reveal that he would happily helm an hour of the acclaimed sci-fi series, at a very unique cost:

"They don’t even have to pay me,” Jackson claimed. “But I have got my eye on one of those nice new gold-colored Daleks. They must have a spare one (hint, hint).” Jackson also revealed that he'd previously met with 'Doctor Who' showrunner Steven Moffat, but Moffat himself jokingly declined to comment if the budget would allow for such a high-profile director behind the camera. “We’re theoretically on board for anything” he said, “provided we’ve got a great story.”

What say you? Do you think Peter Jackson would make a good director for ‘Doctor Who’? What kind of adventure would you like to see Jackson tackle? Check out the latest trailer below, and pitch us your ideas in the comments!
