Atlus' parent company Index Corporation has registered an official Persona 5 domain in Japan, which is obviously great news for everyone.

According to All Games Beta, Index registered "persona5.jp" on June 25. Though there have only been rumors about a fifth Persona sequel making the rounds these past few years, that Atlus' owner would want to secure the rights to the official site bodes well for its chances of being a real game.

That said, just because a company registers a site doesn't mean there is or will be a game with that name. Index never owned the Persona 3 or Persona 4 equivalents, and this could just be a company looking out for its potential future interests. The much more interesting story though is Atlus will have something Persona 5-themed ready for this fall's Tokyo Game Show. That might be wishful thinking, but that doesn't mean it's not a possibility.
