Via Entertainment Weekly, we've learned that one of the eight features 'MacGyver' star Richard Dean Anderson, while the intended finale would have saw Chloe's (Krysten Ritter) origin story of sorts.

RItter's Will Ferrell-produced pilot 'Assistance' failed to earn a pickup at NBC, but former 'Dawson's Creek' star James Van Der Beek will most likely move forward with his new series 'Friends with Better Lives' come CBS' midseason.
