A few months ago, we shared some of the incredible set footage from Christopher Nolan’s upcoming World War II thriller Dunkirk. With principal photography now underway, Dunkirk fans have also gotten their first look at a few of the cast members in costume. You can view all the behind-the-scenes photos courtesy of The Daily Mail, but here are a few of the ones that have made their way to social media. And you may not be surprised to discover that they focused on one young heartthrob in particular.

Because Christopher Nolan can pretty much pick among any actors working today, Dunkirk has an impressive combination of rising stars, established box office draws, and prestigious veteran actors. Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy return after working with Nolan in the past, and Nolan newcomers Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh are, shall we say, somewhat established in their own right. But it is this one newcomer in particular, former (or current, depending on which teenage gossip site you read) One Direction member Harry Styles, that has fans excited for a World War II thriller for maybe the first time in their young lives. Will this begin a new phase in Style’s career? He certainly wouldn’t be the first singer to switch lanes and make a name for himself as a serious actor.

Not much is known about the film  —  other than the historical events that inspired it, of course, but who needs those kind of spoilers?  —  but here is the brief synopsis released by Warner Bros. back in May:

Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.

Dunkirk is set to hit theaters on July 19, 2017.
