Emma Watson Shows Off Her Trashy ‘Bling Ring’ Look

With the simple description, Emma Watson shared the powder-pink look for her latest character, a spoiled-brat member of Hollywood’s infamous ‘Bling Ring.’

Sofia Coppola directs this based-on-true-events crime thriller about Los Angeles teenagers who’d use social media to stalk celebrities like Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan, primarily so they’d know when the stars weren’t home and they could safely break into the wealthy talent’s mansions. (Hilton reportedly cameos in the film, playing herself.)

Watson plays Nicki, who might be the leader of the group (which was known as The Burglar Bunch when it was “terrorizing” So Cal’s elite community). She doesn’t look so scary to me, though Watson certainly has the glazed stare of affluent indifference down pat. Said the actress on Twitter:

This photo appears to have been taken as the actress stepped out of her make-up chair. Given the tendencies of the Bling Ring to use social media, I dig that Watson shared this photo on Twitter. Maybe Coppola’s close to showing us a trailer (Watson added that she wrapped filming)? ‘The Bling Ring’ also stars Kirsten Dunst and Leslie Mann and is shooting for a 2013 release date, though rumors have Coppola racing to possibly reach December 2012 so the film can contend for awards (if it’s that type of film).
