Much as we might have liked 'Masters of Sex' star Lizzy Caplan to take the gold, 'The Good Wife' star Julianna Margulies tonight takes home the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series award at the 2014 Emmy Awards for her role as Alicia Florrick.

Despite her history with the award, Margulies' most recent Emmy win put the actor over the likes of this year's nominees Lizzy Caplan of ‘Masters of Sex,' Claire Danes of 'Homeland,' Michelle Dockery of 'Downton Abbey,' Kerry Washington of 'Scandal,' and Robin Wright of 'House of Cards.' The actress kept her speech relatively simple, espousing a great time for female roles on TV, the difficulty of writers to pen 22 episodes a year, and of course, her family.

So, do you think Julianna Margulies deserved the Actress in a Drama Series Emmy? Would any of the other nominees have made a better fit? Tell us who you believe truly deserved the Emmy, and keep it here for all the latest news from the 2014 Emmy Awards!
