Although you'd think that starring in Richard Linklater's 'Boyhood' -- a film that took twelve years to make -- would be a labor of love, star Ethan Hawke found a way to make the project even more personally appealing. He used it as an audition for 'Star Wars: Episode 7'. Well, sort of.

In the film, Hawke's character speaks at length about the 'Star Wars' franchise, and when the part of the production was brought up on 'Conan' last night, Hawke fessed up to host Conan O'Brien: it was all part of a plan to remind the team behind the films how much Hawke loves them. Now they have to cast him! Brilliant, right? Hawke has sweetened the pot even more, though, because he doesn't need a big, splashy role. He'll take a small, furry one. Like a Wookiee. (No, really.)
