We're a month away from the release of 'Evil Dead,' which means we're now getting TV spots. Two just debuted: one that has a straight "Here's the plot" approach, and another that plays up how scared audiences are by the trailer alone.

And we're pulling for the remake by Fede Alverez -- we've been excited for the movie since the first trailer, and when it was revealed there will be no CGI blood in the film. The good news is that the film will be showing at SXSW, and so we should be getting reviews for the movie this weekend, as it's scheduled to show this Friday, March 8.

Here's the film's synopsis:

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin.  When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

The first TV spot comes from the studio, and it's pretty meat-and-potatoes, but it works well in context. We see the cast, and get a sense of the plot and the dangers ahead:

And here's the TV spot Shock 'till You Drop found that shows audience reactions (it ends well). 'Evil Dead' hits the big screen April 5.
