While this past Sunday's 'Falling Skies' installment, "Badlands," left the aliens outside the gates for narrative (and presumably budgetary) reason, this weekend's all-new episode "At All Costs" isn't going to skimp on the sci-fi action. The latest clip picks up where "Badlands" left off, on an Espheni invasion of Charleston, but why doesn't the 2nd Massachusetts appear to be sweating the assault?

Because of the Volm, thank goodness! Tom Mason and the others have much less to worry about with regard to an alien invasion, thanks to the other aliens in the midst, who rather swiftly repel the assault. Even more than that, human captive soldier Catherine Fisher (Luvia Petersen) is on hand to witness the impressive display, sure to impress surviving President Benjamin Hathaway ('7th Heaven' star Stephen Collins) with her account.

The third season of TNT’s alien drama also boasts ‘Battlestar Galactica‘ vet Michael Hogan, former ‘House‘ star Robert Sean Leonard as the previously unseen Charleston power-grid moderator Dr. Roger “The Rat King” Kadar, and Noah Wyle’s former ‘E.R.’ co-star Gloria Reuben as Marina Perlata, member of the resistance and aide to Tom Mason.
