‘Falling Skies’ Season 2 Goes Behind The Scenes

We make no secret of our piqued interest for TNT's second season of the Spielberg-produced post-alien invasion drama 'Falling Skies,' which garnered meager ratings in its initial 2011 season, but seems to have picked up quite a bit of steam in its second.  But why talk, when you can go behind the scenes to see where we pick up the cast and crew in season 2?

Combining a bit of that super-creepy teaser from earlier, narration of the 'Falling Skies' pilot, all-new footage and behind-the-scenes interviews, the latest look at 'Falling Skies' season 2 offers up our best preview yet at the increased spectacle and drama, and even teases a bit of the fallout of last season's big cliffhanger!

As the promo divides time between the mysteries of how exactly Tom Mason (Noah Wyle)'s young son Ben continues to be affected by his time spent with a harness, we're also left to wonder what the Skitters may have done to Tom himself during his voluntary abduction during season finale "Eight Minutes."  Personally, we like-y big spaceships and explosions!

For those unfamiliar with the series, ‘Falling Skies’ follows former history professor Tom Mason as one of the leaders of a human resistance force desperately struggling to fight back and survive in the aftermath of an alien invasion that killed off 90% of the planet’s population.  In addition to protecting his children, one of whom spent time under the aliens' thrall, Tom maintains a close relationship with the resistance’s doctor Anne Glass (Moon Bloodgood), as well as charismatic rogue John Pope (Colin Cunningham) and military leader Captain Daniel Weaver (Will Patton).

We know season 2 will pick up on the move with the 2nd Massachusetts, and certainly start with a bang, but check out the video below in anticipation of the 2-hour season premiere on Sunday, June 17 only on TNT!
