'Falling Skies' Season 3 Premiere Sneak Peek: Rebel Skitters, Mega-Mechs and More!

EDIT
|

Apart from the other major genre excitement this weekend, 'Falling Skies' will premiere its third season with a two-hour installment that picks up months after we last left Tom Mason and the rebels in season 2 finale "A More Perfect Union." The third season will include all manner of new twists and sci-fi action, so how would you like an early sneak peek right now?

The 2nd Massachusetts of 'Falling Skies' will have undergone quite a change in the seven months since the story progressed, partnering up with new alien allies the Vohm in the ongoing battle against the Espheni (Skitters), as well as their overlords. Not only that, but Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) has reluctantly accepted the title of "President," Hal Mason (Drew Roy) seems unable to stand against his alien probe, and Anne's baby will be due any day!

Among the host of changes and challenges on deck for 'Falling Skies' season 3, TNT has released a new premiere from the clip that picks up where the first left off, highlighting the turned tide of the alien-human war. Not only does Tom Mason ride to the rescue with his new Vohm pal Cochise (Doug Jones), but the pair boast some seriously hi-tech weaponry to take down the new "Mega-Mechs" plaguing the rebel survivors.

The third season of TNT’s alien drama boasts ‘Battlestar Galactica‘ vet Michael Hogan, former ’7th Heaven’ star Stephen Collins as surviving US President Benjamin Hathaway, former ‘House‘ star Robert Sean Leonard as the previously unseen Charleston power-grid moderator Dr. Roger “The Rat King” Kadar, and Noah Wyle’s former ‘E.R.’ co-star Gloria Reuben as Marina Perlata, member of the resistance and aide to Tom Mason.

We'll have a full review and recap of Sunday's 'Falling Skies' season 3 premiere this weekend, but in the meantime check out the latest clip above, and get a closer look at the Vohm and Mega-Mechs in the photos below! What do you hope to see from 'Falling Skies' season 3?
