Flame on, 'Fantastic Four'! It looks like the casting search for 20th Century Fox's upcoming reboot of the Marvel property is well underway. Just the other day, word was that 'Girls' star Allison Williams was on the (very early) short list for Susan Storm (aka Invisible Woman) and now we've learned that the studio is looking to fill the role of the Human Torch with someone from the 'Chronicle' world.

According to The Wrap, Michael B. Jordan, who played one of the telekinetic-powered teens in the Josh Trank-directed hit, is in the running to take over Chris Evans' former superhero role in the 'Fantastic Four' reboot, also directed by Trank. Word is the actor has already taken multiple meetings, though his involvement reportedly depends on whether or not he has chemistry with the other actors.

It's not a crazy idea by any means to re-envision a white comic book character with a black actor -- just look at Jamie Foxx's Electro, which is a refreshing and incredible-looking take for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2.' Jordan already had a bit of Johnny's ego in 'Chronicle,' and he's already established himself with roles on 'The Wire' and 'Friday Night Lights.'

Though the 'Fantastic Four' reboot is not officially greenlit, Fox is already expecting to release it come March 6, 2015. Considering how awful the first two films were, we feel this one is much needed.
