Yes, Amanda Seyfried is playing infamous porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming biopic 'Lovelace' and yes, she's probably going to get incredibly naked (because what would be the point if she didn't?), but no, the first clip released from the film features no nudity whatsoever and instead chooses to highlight Seyfried's performance. Okay. Now you should know if you want to bother with this clip. Watch it below!

In the scene, Lovelace prepares for a photo shoot by having a heartfelt conversation with the photographer and looks upon the finished results with astonishment, thanking him for "making her beautiful.' It's not much of a scene and, unfortunately, it's not a particularly great scene, especially for the typically talented Seyfried. For a movie that's about the life of the world's most famous pornographic performer, the clip feels like something out of a completely traditional biopic, like something that 'Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story' would have mocked.

Still, we have faith that filmmakers Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (who had tremendous careers as documentary filmmakers before making features) will deliver something fresh and the jaw-dropping supporting cast (Peter Sarsgaard, Sharon Stone, Juno Temple, Wes Bentley, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, James Franco, Eric Roberts, Adam Brody and Chloe Sevigny) must have signed on for a reason.
