After teasing fans at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con with an empty vinyl record of the Dazzler album featured in X-Men: Apocalypse, this year Fox Home Entertainment is delivering the goods. While a Dazzler record is still not a thing we’ll actually be able to buy and listen to, Fox is bringing a collection of limited vinyls from Deadpool, Logan, the Planet of the Apes franchise, and Kingsman to Comic-Con. To make these packages even more impressive, they’ll also come with the Blu-ray and DVD copies of the feature films.

The resurgence of vinyl records, particularly when it comes to movie soundtracks, is a welcome one. Though most of the releases from companies like Mondo and Waxwork have been focused on modern cinema, there have been quite a few surprise classic scores released as of late too. It's no surprise then to see Fox jumping in on the bandwagon, offering up new collections for some of its biggest blockbusters from the past five years.

Revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Fox Home Entertainment will have five special vinyl/movie combo packs available exclusively at Comic-Con 2017. The Deadpool soundtrack by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) was a big hit when it was released on vinyl before, but now there's a clever new package that combines the mercenary with Lisa Frank and ‘80s cyber art. That original soundtrack also didn't come with the movie, whereas this set does.

Logan Movie and Vinyl Soundtrack Set

Marco Beltrami’s Logan score hasn't yet hit the vinyl market, but is getting a standard release this August. However, if you’re at Comic-Con, not only will you be among the first to be able to purchase the vinyl, you’ll also get a unique package complete with the standard and noir versions of the feature film.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movie and Vinyl Soundtrack Set

Both Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes are getting vinyl packages in conjunction with the release of the third chapter in the trilogy, War for the Planet of the Apes. Rise has never been on vinyl before, but this will be the second chance for fans to snap up the Dawn vinyl. If you still haven’t gotten either of the films on Blu, this is the perfect time.

Kingsman: The Secret Service Movie and Vinyl Soundtrack Set

Kingsman: The Secret Service has likewise never been pressed on 180 grams of vinyl before either, but gets a release just in time for you to relive Henry Jackman and Matthew Margeson’s action-packed score before the sequel hits. As they say, manners maketh man, and any mannered man knows vinyl is the purest form of sound. Something like that.

None of the collections have prices available, but given the standard vinyl marketplace, you should expect to pay at least $30-40 for each one you hope to buy.

San Diego Comic-Con begins on July 19. The Fox Fanfare will be at booth #4229.
