A Minority Report TV sequel series certainly turned heads with its announcement, and with an official fall greenlight, FOX has given us our own glimpse of the future. Witness the aftermath of PreCrime with the first trailer for FOX’s Minority Report reborn!

It’s difficult to get a sense of FOX’s Minority Report in comparison to Spielberg’s 2002 original, though the new trailer certainly eschews the bluish visual flair. Some of the technology (and even actors) held over, but for the moment at least the new series looks like any one of the future FOX procedurals in recent years, from Almost Human to Fringe. Still, future tech! Running! Destiny! And so on, and so forth.

The new iteration of the sci-fi drama centers on Lara Vega (Meagan Good), a detective who partners with former Pre-Cog “Dash” (Stark Sands), who despite his attempt to lead a normal life is haunted by visions of the future after PreCrime’s end. The series also stars That ‘70s Show alum Wilmer Valderrama as Detective Will Blake, a newbie filling in for Lara while on leave.

Executive produced by Spielberg, penned by Godzilla writer Max Borenstein and directed by Mark Mylod, the new iteration picks up 10 years after the fall of PreCrime, as established during the events of the film. Daniel London will reprise his role as Pre-Cog caretaker Wally, while The Following star Li Jun Li will play the role of Akeela, a CSI technician who works closely with Vega, and Laura Regan will play the role of female Pre-Cog Agatha.
