Between the ongoing success of 'Family Guy,' 'American Dad,' 'The Cleveland Show,' 'Ted' and his upcoming gig hosting the Oscars, Seth MacFarlane has the world by a string. And with live-action success at the box-office, where better to turn next than a live-action TV series? As pilot season picks up, FOX has given a strong display of faith to MacFarlane picking up to series live-action comedy pilot 'Dads,' but what role will MacFarlane take on the actual show?

'Family Guy' creator and media mogul Seth MacFarlane can officially add another project to the bank, as FOX has decided to move straight-to-series with MacFarlane's upcoming three-camera comedy 'Dads.' Written and executive produced by 'Ted' scribes Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, with MacFarlane acting as a third, non-writing executive producer, 'Dads' has been given an initial pickup order of six episodes.

One of FOX's first major pickups of the coming season, 'Dads' follows two successful men in their 30s who find their lives "turned upside-down when their nightmare fathers unexpectedly move in with them." 'Dads' isn't MacFarlane's first post-'Family Guy' deal with FOX, though the prolific star's 'Flintstones' animated series had to be shelved to make room for his movie schedule.

What say you? Do you think 'Dads' will have the same 'Ted' charm? What would you like to see Seth MacFarlane tackle next?
