Do you feel that?  That weight lifted off your shoulders, accompanied by the  breath of fresh air and smell of freshly brewed coffee that seems to become increasingly unavailable in multiple universes?  That, friends, is the feeling of 'Fringe' fans resting easy now that season 5 is a go.  But with three episodes left in the current season, could the end really be at hand?

Mostly disregarding last week's trippy future-filled "Letters of Transit," which introduced a future-centric battle with the Observers likely to govern the fifth and final season of 'Fringe' this fall, now it's time to focus on the remaining three episodes at hand for season 4.  What could be the villainous David Robert Jones ('Mad Men's Jared Harris)'s endgame, and how does the revised 'Fringe' timeline, or Olivia Dunham's mostly undeveloped cortexiphan abilities factor into his plans?

It looks like we have some answers!  We theorized several weeks ago that the universe-hopping baddie might be interested in collapsing both parallel universes with his personal supply of "amphillocyte," but thanks to the latest (somewhat ironically-titled) promo "The End is Nigh," the cast has a chance to explain what Jones might really be after.

We won't spoil the surprise for you in the promo below, but check it out as you prepare for 'Fringe's final three episodes of the season, beginning with tonight's "Worlds Apart," as both universe work together to stop the villain, and figure out what the cortexiphan children of Walter Bishop's past research have to do with it.

Watch 'Fringe' tonight at 9 p.m. on FOX, and give us your theories on how the fourth, or recently-announced fifth season will end in the comments below!
