Of the many new series to check out in 2013, few have us more amped than FX drama 'The Americans' starring one-time 'Felicity' star Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys. Set in 1981 Washington DC, ‘The Americans’ follows Elizabeth Jennings (Russell), one half of a KGB-arranged marriage whose relationship with her husband Philip (Rhys) becomes increasingly tested by the Cold War’s escalation, the associations they maintain with a network of spies and informants, as well as their new FBI agent neighbor Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich). Along the way, Elizabeth and Philip find their fake relationship growing more passionate and genuine on a daily basis.
‘The Americans’ will also include a hefty guest turn from ‘Justified’ Emmy winner Margo Martindale. Today sees FX releasing a number of stills from the show's pilot episode, including our first looks at Noah Emmerich's character, as well as 'Thor' and Marvel Cinematic Universe player Maximiliano Hernandez.
