Game of Thrones will be hard-pressed to top itself for Season 6 after last Sunday’s “Book of the Stranger,” but the next few weeks are certainly starting to build hype. After this coming Sunday’s “The Door,” HBO has released the next synopses, teasing an old foe and some pointed confrontations for “Blood of My Blood” and “The Broken Man.”

We’ll go ahead and get ourselves into wild speculation mode, as the Mad Men-esque loglines will only get more cryptic as the season goes on. Enter May 29's “Blood of My Blood”:

An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly (Hannah Murray) meets Sam’s (John Bradley) family. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a difficult choice. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) faces off against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Written by Bryan Cogman; directed by Jack Bender.

Alright! Certainly, that “old foe” is going to bring high hopes for that mystery man Ian McShane not-so-vaguely teased, while it’s about time we caught up with the Tarlys. Arya’s always making difficult choices these days, but might Jaime finally stride toward the Sept of Baelor atop his white steed?

Moving on to June 5 outing “The Broken Man”:

The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded. Written by Bryan Cogman; directed by Mark Mylod.

Another target? Oh no! Is Lancel finally getting his chance to remain with the show forever, and not end up leading another notable series for the next few years? Did Arya’s difficult choice lead to a difficult plan? What might the North have forgotten? DID THE NORTH REMEMBER WHERE IT LEFT ITS KEYS TO THE NORTH?

Oh, the possibilities. Anyway, take a look at photos from this coming Sunday’s “The Door,” and polish your tin-foil hats for more Game of Thrones.
