Earlier today ‘Game of Thrones’ teased a look behind the scenes at season 5, but the upcoming IMAX screenings will be even bigger, and not just literally. The George R.R. Martin fantasy drama has released a new trailer for its forthcoming IMAX presentation, unboxing a brand-new bit of footage from season 5 to boot!

Running from January 29 to February 5 and with tickets already on sale, the R-rated IMAX screening of ‘Game of Thrones’ (the first ever TV converted for the format) will run season 4's final two installments “The Watchers on the Wall” and “The Children,” along with an exclusive look at the season 5 trailer. Our first tease of new footage even falls out of a crate during the trailer, as a haggard-looking Tyrion…well, falls out of a crate.

As if that weren’t enough, HBO has also drafter two slick (and spoilery!) episode posters for the IMAX presentation, which you can find below.

As for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 (already renewed for 6, with the cast signed through 7), we know of multiple returning, confirmed absent, and new characters cast, including those that confirm we’ll be visiting the oft-mentioned kingdom of Dorne, for which Spain will double. The story will draw heavily from George R.R. Martin’s fourth and fifth novels, ‘A Feast for Crows’ and ‘A Dance with Dragons,’ while HBO has also provided a list of directors, as well as insight into which literary stories may not make the transition to film.

Well, what are you waiting for? Scope the new ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 footage in the IMAX trailer above, and give us your predictions for the April 12 premiere in the comments!
