Posters, trailers, and episode descriptions for season 2 of 'Game of Thrones' season 2 are popping up all over the place in anticipation of the series long-awaited April 1 premiere, but this latest spoiler-filled poster probably won't adorn the side of a bus any time soon.  For those who have yet to watch the first season of 'Game of Thrones,' or are opposed to some seriously graphic imagery, turn away now!

Oh Ned Stark, you poor beautiful bastard.  Everyone and their mother (sometimes literally their mother) told you never to trust them, and you went right ahead and played into their hands.  Yes, folks, the latest look at 'Game of Thrones' season 2 rightly advertises that "The King Can Do as He Likes" as we see King Joffrey's will imposed upon a pike with poor Ned Stark's head atop!

For those unaware, season 2 of ‘Game of Thrones’ adapts its story from the second entry of George R.R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series, ‘A Clash of Kings.’  In it, the “War of the Five Kings” begins while different factions vie for the throne of Westeros, left somewhat vacant by the death of King Robert Baratheon, and quickly usurped by his young (suspiciously blonde) son Prince Joffrey.  Said usurpation was the cause of - SPOILER ALERT - our dear friend Ned's fate here, as King Joffrey swiftly sought to take decisive action in punishing any so-called traitors to his throne.

Feast your eyes on the newest look at 'Game of Thrones' season 2, and prepare for war with the season premiere Sunday, April 1 on HBO!
