‘Game of Thrones’ Season 3: George R.R. Martin to Cameo
Veteran author George R.R. Martin has certainly given the world enough with his 'Game Thrones' saga in both books and TV, but it seems the 'Song of Ice and Fire' creator has at least one more jewel to offer. In addition to his continued work on the books and contributions to the upcoming 'Game of Thrones' season 3, Martin will actually make an appearance on the series in a coming episode! Find out where you can find George R.R. Martin in Westeros inside!
While many 'Game of Thrones' fans want series creator George R.R. Martin to focus solely on finishing the book series (at least before HBO catches up), the prolific writer has decided to grace his creation with a cameo appearance in the coming season, debuting March 31. Executive producer David Benioff revealed the cameo at the Television Academy's 'Game of Thrones' panel earlier this week, but remained mum who Martin might play.
Interestingly, Martin had previously filmed a cameo for the pilot episode "Winter is Coming," before it ended up on the cutting room floor. Apart from the cameo, cast and crew revealed very little of the upcoming season, though Martin teased of the overall series that several people would end up on the Iron Throne before all was said and done. And while a fourth season of 'Game of Thrones' seems like a foregone conclusion, HBO has made no official order just yet.
