‘Game of Thrones’ Season 3 Behind-the-Scenes Preview: Mance Rayder Speaks!

Having passed the half-way point of January, every day brings us closer and closer to the hotly anticipated premiere of HBO's 'Game of Thrones' season 3. We've seen a few vague teasers to date, and a few behind-the-scenes photos, but are you ready for your best look yet at the characters and action of the new season? Let the writers take you behind-the-scenes with an all-new preview of 'Game of Thrones' season 3 inside!

It will be a while yet before HBO issues any real trailers along the promotional campaign towards 'Game of Thrones' season 3, but the latest behind-the-scenes video offers our best look yet at new characters like Mance Rayder (Ciaran Hinds), as well as some of the action of the coming season. In it, executive story editor/writer Bryan Cogman previews some of the challenges of adapting from book-to-screen for a more "intimate" season, with more character-driven scenes.

It all leads up to the March 31 premiere of the extended new season, which adapts at least half of George R.R. Martin’s novel “A Storm of Swords,” and features cast additions Ed Skrein, Jacob Anderson, Ciaran Hinds, Diana Rigg, Mackenzie Crook, Clive Russell, Nathalie Emannuel, Iwan Rheon, Kerry Ingram, Tara Fitzgerald, Paul Kaye, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ellie Kendrick, Richard Dormer, Kristofer Hivju, Philip McGinley, Tobias Menzies, Anton Lesser and even Coldplay drummer Will Champion.
