It’s hard to believe that Game of Thrones Season 6 remains in production, given all we’ve heard and seen over the last few months, but even with some major surprises taken as a given, the 2016 run may blow our minds yet. A new set report teases an impressive four-way meeting in a major locale, and there may be a giant in our midsts as well.

You’re warned of oh, so many spoilers from here on out, but those hoping to see Sansa Stark (or Bolton?) reuniting with foster brother Jon (whom I guess we’re calling Stark?), we have good news and bad. A new Watchers on the Wall report suggests that Belfast rehearsals have begun for a scene that would see Sansa and Jon meeting with none other than Littlefinger and Ramsay Bolton within the walls of Winterfell.

That would certainly track with some of the multi-faction battles we’ve heard about, but apparently the four-way meeting grows exceedingly complicated not just by Sansa’s reunion with her maniacal husband, but also the appearance of an unidentified giant crashing through Winterfell’s gate. For the moment at least, it remains unclear when in the season this sequence would take place, and whose side, if any, the giant owes allegiance to.

Elsewhere of Game of Thrones Season 6, screen legend Max von Sydow has been cast as the mysterious Three-Eyed Raven to a returning Bran, while Deadwood alum Ian McShane will also appear in a limited, mysterious role, joining Richard E. Grant and The Babadook star Essie Davis as theatre troup players, four notable actors as the Tarly family, Melanie Liburd as a new Red Priestess, and Borgen star Pilou Asbæk as fan-favorite Euron Greyjoy. Apart from a list of directors, Of Monsters and Men will put in a cameo, and story logistics seemingly confirm scenes set at The Wall next year, presumably to explain this giant spoiler.

We still don’t know exactly when Game of Thrones will premiere, but what other leaks might Season 6 suffer on the road to 2016?
